Pepper is an iconic Kentucky whiskey brand, producing multi-award-winning Bourbon and Rye whiskies. The brand underwent a re-launch after the distillery was left derelict, allowing for the James E. Pepper legacy to live on.
Winning a double gold at the World Spirits Competition in San Fransisco, the "1776" Straight Rye is one of the most popular whiskies in the James E. Pepper range. Complex and flavourful, this whiskey will express notes of mint, eucalyptus, chocolate and honey. The Distillery expressions also comprise of a 3-year-old Rye with notes of sticky toffee pudding, oak spice and a lingering hint of red fruit. This young expression won Silver at The American Whiskey Masters in 2019.
