Midleton Distillery
The Midleton Distillery is the home of Jameson Irish whiskey as well as Powers, Spot and Redbreast. However, they now produce a premium single-pot Irish whisky exclusively to Midelton Distillery. The Method and Madness expression is matured in Sherry and bourbon barrels, before finding a French chestnut cask for a finishing period. On the nose are aroma's of red liquorice, fresh rosemary mint and ginger.
On the palate are bursts of sweet fruit and spice, cinnamon and ripe banana. The single pot will leave lingering aromas of green tea as well as bursts of fruit and spice. This expression has won Gold at The Irish Whisky Masters in 2017 and 2020 and claimed Silver at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in 2019.
