As far back as 1782, the Teeling Distillery was originally set up as a small craft distillery on Marrowbone Lane in Dublin City in Ireland. The latest generation of Teeling whisky makers, Jack and Stephen Teeling, opened up the new Teeling Whiskey Distillery in 2015 and is the first new whisky distillery in Dublin for over 125 years. The Teeling Distillery expresses unconventional ways of distilling with innovation at the forefront of all of their methods. Their whiskies are bottled at a non-chilled filtration which allows for the whisky to maintain its body and unique characteristics.
The unconventional Irish Whiskey Small Batch expression has been awarded Double Gold at the San Fransisco World Spirits Competition in 2019. The hand-selected casks of grain and malt whiskey are initially aged in ex-bourbon casks and are then married together with Central American Rum casks for up to 12 months. This allows for the grain and malt to take on a subtle dried fruit character. The palate will leave you with solid rum tastes and bursts of fruit with a spicy finish.
