The flagship expression from the Highland distillery of Knockdhu. AnCnoc 12 year old is aged in former Bourbon barrels, offering the drinker the chance to get to grips with the distillery’s signature weighty spirit. Fresh, sweet and approachable, this is a great introduction to the Highland style.
One of few distilleries to have retained its original stills, Knockdhu makes an old fashioned style of spirit, close to that it originally produced in the 19th century. Knockdhu renamed their distillery bottlings “AnCnoc” back in 1994, so as to avoid any confusion with Speyside distillery Knockandu.
This clean, yet malty and flavoursome dram is perfect for those trying whisky for the first time, or for more seasoned drammers looking for a reliable daily drinker.

Bright and floral, with notes of lily, orange blossom and honeysuckle. There’s a little sharp cereal sweetness, and some freshly cut green apples.
Vanilla and oak step into the limelight, with the Bourbon cask serving up heaps of warm cinnamon and nutmeg. There’s some fudgy milk chocolate here, and fresh rosemary.
Surprisingly complex, with honeyed malt, biscuits and dried flowers. A finish medium in length; this is a dram of hidden depths.
