While the 10-year-old is finished in first-fill oloroso sherry casks for one year after blending, the 15-year-old spends all the extra time marrying in those same sherry casks. The additional time spent in sherry gives this whisky a deep mahogany colour and resinous sherry character. While only lightly peated, the smoke is prominent - this is one for the smoky sherry cask lovers.

Tasting notes
Nose
A strong sherry fruity-nutty influence with hints of dates, strawberry jam and toasted walnuts. Bottom notes of milk chocolate and caramel with a subtle malt cereal tone and a puff of smoke.
Taste
A waxy mouthfeel quickly becomes warming ginger spice. Walnuts, sultanas and raisins transform into ashy smoke with bitter dark chocolate. Menthol freshness brings some balance.
Finish
More peat smoke than expected, medium in length with woody, peppery spice. Finishes with a tannic oak dryness.
