One of Speyside’s most beloved distilleries, Glenfarclas is famed for its old fashioned approach to whisky making. Very little money is spent on packaging or marketing, with the distillery preferring to let the whisky speak for itself.
And so it does. This is a perfect example of their sherried style, rich in notes of walnut, dried fruit and wine. A classy drop from a favourite distillery of ours.

Big and complex nose, with deep aromas of toasted nuts, cloves, cinnamon, sultanas, citrus rind, brown sugar and dark chocolate. There’s a hint of bananas and warm malt.
Just as lush as the nose suggested. A thick mouthfeel is accompanied by sugared barley, orange rind, raisins and prunes, vanilla custard, dark oak tannins and a little espresso.
Long, with a lingering nuttiness and continued Christmas cake character. Simply superb, we could drink this all night long.
