Bananas, pineapple and orange peels first emerge, joined by classic Glenfiddich apples and pears, some figs, milk chocolate and heather honey.
Funky molasses and treacle coated nuts take hold – the sure sign of a rum cask. Later, hay-like malt, vanilla, drying pepper, raisins and brown sugar come through.
Long, featuring tannic oak, butterscotch, candied citrus rind, stem ginger, brown sugar and lingering vanilla bean. An excellent twist on Glenfiddich’s spirit.
