Glenfiddich may have been distilling in the Valley of the Deer for over 130 years, but this bottle shows they are still capable of innovation and creativity.
Largely credited with popularising the single malt category in the 1960s, Glenfiddich have always had a good eye for an opportunity and canny marketing. They were amongst few distilleries to actually increase production during Prohibition, recognising that demand would rapidly rise with its eventual repeal.
It should come as no surprise then, that the venerable Speysider has added to the growing beer-cask style of single malt. This IPA cask offering showcases an entirely different dimension to the ‘Fiddich spirit.

Classic ‘Fiddich aromas of green apple, pear boiled lollies, hay-like malt, lemon zest, caramel, a little meadow flowers and some fruity hops.
A very waxy mouthfeel brings flavours of intense lemon and lime zest, hoppy beer, vanilla and more of those apples and pears.
Traditional Glenfiddich baked apples, toffee and some citric hops linger on this medium-length finish. An experimental yet delicious dram!
