In 2005, Kilchoman became the first new distillery to be built on Islay in 125-years! A tiny little distillery on a farm on the west coast of the island, this is a distillery that is not afraid to try new things. This whisky is more towards the classic Islay smokey style, but in a more elegant way.

Fresh zesty citrus peels grated over vanilla shortbread. Layers of elegant but dry and earthy peat smoke waft over the top.
Zesty citrus transitions into dried tropical fruits. A vanilla rich body, with an almost fudge-like consistency seasoned with brine. Warming dry wood smoke continues to drift over the top.
Concludes fresh and tangy with a sprinkle of cracked black pepper that becomes more woody as it lingers. Great length for a relatively young whisky.
