Nothing says Christmas like a big bodied, fruity dram, and Lark have just the thing. This whisky was aged in Tasmanian red wine casks, which had been used by a local Tassie bakery to fill with fruit jus for their mince pies. Does it get any more festive?

This spirit is actually sourced from Overeem’s Old Hobart (Ho-Ho-Hobart? Anyone?) distillery, rather than Lark’s newer Coal Valley operation. This whisky was specially picked out for its floral notes and brighter profile, which stand up perfectly to the intense fruitiness of the cask. Bottled at 45% ABV for extra body and warmth, this truly is a drop of Christmas in a glass. Highly limited in number.

Rich Christmas pudding – orange rind, cloves, currants and cinnamon – with flamed brandy fills the glass, followed by notes of stewed plums and baked apples. The faintest hint of peat smoke.
Seriously rich, with thick, full bodied notes of mulled cider, red wine tannins, sour cherry lollies and soft Christmas spices (cinnamon and nutmeg). Again, the scarcest wisp of peat.
