A fascinating release from veteran Tassie distillers, Lark. In surely a world first, this single malt whisky has been matured in oak casks seasoned with locally made Chinotto – a dark, cola-like soda traditionally enjoyed in Italy. The drink is flavoured with a tart citrus a lot like bitter orange. When combined with Lark’s peated Tasmanian spirit, the result is a spicy, citrusy and utterly unique whisky.

A toasty, oily mouthfeel brings notes of flamed orange peel, stem ginger, cinnamon spice, cola syrup, burnt wattleseeds and chocolate malt. Sweet peat builds with time.
