This dram is the premier expression from Rutherglen's Morris, who has been a leading name in Australian fortified wine since its inception in 1859. This dram has been matured in shaved and toasted ex-red wine barrels before being finished exclusively in Morris' very own award-winning muscat casks. This finishing period delivers a luscious, full-bodied whisky that goes toe to toe with the best there is.

Established in 1859, the Morris family winery is one of Australia's most acclaimed fortified producers. Craftsmanship in blending, ageing and creating world-class fortified wine has been passed down through six generations of the family, giving unparalleled access to the very best barrels in the biz - casks which have held some of the world’s most highly awarded fortified wines.
In 2016, the distillery was built around the original copper still assembled in the 1930s and brought to the Morris winery in 1941. A veritable smorgasbord of industry heavyweights were employed to expertly craft the Morris Single Malt style including the "Einstein of Whisky" Dr Jim Swan, Master Distiller John McDougall (formerly of Balvenie, Laphroaig and Springbank) and current Head Distiller Darren Peck (ex-Diageo).
Today, they combine decades of tradition with contemporary techniques to create a whisky that is a true expression of time and place.

Heady and prominent fortified wine cask aromas that immediately suggest this drams provenance... Barrel char, dried fruits, roasted nuts, dark chocolate and baking spices in abundance.
A sweet and creamy mouthfeel that is jam-packed full of flavour. Rich dark fruits and sweet malt notes come first, followed by vanilla and milk chocolate.
Medium in length, with creamy chocolate notes evolving into espresso and cinnamon. Tannin and spice come next, making for a pleasantly dry finish.
