Copper Alley is the name of a short street in Dublin’s famous Temple Bar area – now populated with drinking dens, the Alley was previously a centre of craft, industry and whiskey bars. This single malt Irish whiskey has been aged for 10 years, including a finish in high quality 30 year old Oloroso Sherry casks following an initial maturation in former Bourbon barrels. Just 31 casks were used, hand-picked by Master Distiller Darryl McNally.
Dublin Liberties are at the forefront of the Irish whiskey renaissance – with a distillery based in the historic Liberties area of Dublin.
The Liberties were traditionally known as something of a den of iniquity, with rogues and raconteurs stalking every corner. They were also a centre for industry, with brewers and distillers counted amongst the tradesmen making their way in this part of town.
Dublin Liberties Distillery honours these local legends with the naming of their bottles, which are always after nearby landmarks or urban myths. This distillery was established in 2017, and uses Irish malt and water from their own well.

Opens with a vivid, malty aroma soon joined by polished oak, plums, blackberry crumble, some rye-like spices, floral honey, bitter orange rind and warm caramel sauce.
Much fuller than the nose would suggest, with a thick, Sherried mouthfeel, replete with flavours of dried fruit, malt, dark chocolate, flamed tangerine rind and candied ginger pieces.
Medium-long, with a drying oak flavour, followed by persistent spice, vanilla, orange and grapefruit rind, and a distinctive nutty, tannic Oloroso quality.
