Part of the new wave of Irish distilling, Dublin Liberties take their name from the Liberties area of Dublin where they are found: a historic distilling centre. This Irish single malt was aged for 16 years, mostly in former Bourbon barrels, before a finish in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. Only 2,700 bottles were produced.

The bottling takes its name from the Christ Church cathedral in Dublin, found in the Liberties area of Dublin. The cathedral’s crypts were said to house speakeasies, complete with cellars full of barrels of aging Irish whiskey.
Rumour has it that the keepers of the crypts had their own currency that they accepted for their wares - hence, “Keeper’s Coin”. This ensured that you had to be “in the know” to get a drink. Dublin Liberties Distillery have honoured the legacy by producing a whiskey so good, you’ll want to keep it a secret.

Intriguing aromas of sea spray subside to reveal chocolate caramels, toasted malt, figs in syrup and dark oak. There’s some bready sweetness, and a little vanilla too.
A lot of old school PX character here: dark chocolate, raisins, and wine tannins all grip the palate, with some caramelised citrus rind adding brightness and bittersweet complexity.
Long and oaky, with cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla spices lingering on the tastebuds.
