What is the difference between pre-order and reserve?
If you pre-order your advent calendar, you pay the total amount upfront and save yourself a bunch (woo!). This means your work is all done, and we just ship out the box to you on the 20th of November. If you reserve your advent calendar, you pay $79 to reserve your box and the remaining amount will be charged to your card on the 10th November.
I want to purchase this as a gift - how do I do that?
Great choice! On the purchase page make sure you click ‘this is a gift’ option, and you can fill out your recipient's details + add a personalised message. You can either have this shipped directly to the recipient (enter their address as the shipping address), or you can have it sent to yourself to gift it to them in person (enter your own address as the shipping address).
I’m sending this as a surprise gift - how do you guarantee it’s a surprise?
We love surprises and are super sneaky! If you order your advent calendar to be sent directly to your recipient’s address, they won’t know a thing until it appears at their house (or at the post office if they aren’t home to receive it).
What whiskies are included in the advent calendar?
The calendar contains a range of our favourite whiskies, with a few brand new surprises. We’ll be gradually revealing the contents of the calendar on Instagram
, so keep an eye out there.
Can I buy more than one advent calendar?
Absolutely! We think this advent calendar is the perfect Christmas present, so we encourage you to share the joy of whisky with as many mates/colleagues/family members as you like (or you want one for yourself? Do it).
How many whiskies in the calendar & how large are the whiskies?
There are 24 whiskies in the advent calendar, and each bottle is 30mL.
When will the Whisky Loot advent calendar be shipped?
The advent calendars will be shipped via Australia Post on or around the 20th November 2019. You will receive an email confirmation once your order is on its way, please make sure you have marked us as a safe sender so the notification does not get filtered.
Does someone need to be there to receive the advent calendar?
All our parcels require a signature on delivery to ensure your whisky arrives safely. If you’d like to mark your parcel as ‘authority to leave,’ please send your order number with ‘AUTHORITY TO LEAVE’ as a subject line through to firstname.lastname@example.org and our team of Christmas elves will arrange that for you. Please note in this instance we do not take responsibility for lost or missing packages once they are delivered.
Does this affect my current Whisky Loot subscription?
Not at all - this is a one-off purchase that you can buy separately to your subscription. Remember you can pause your subscription or skip upcoming boxes anytime by logging into your account at https://whiskyloot.com/account/login
What if I reserve an advent calendar then change my mind?
Once you reserve an advent calendar, we put it aside and it’s all yours! As we have a very limited number of advent calendars, there are no refunds on the $79 deposit for change of mind.
What if I reserve an advent calendar and don’t have the remaining funds available?
Don’t worry! These things happen. In case of any issues with charging your credit card for the remaining amount, we will notify you via email. If we are unable to charge you within 7 days after the first attempt, your reservation of the Whisky Loot Advent Calendar will be cancelled. There are no refunds on the $79 reserve fee.
