Recently received a 3 month subscription to Whisky Loot from my girlfriend. Not only was it an awesome suprise but i get another each month for the next two months. It's the gift that keeps on giving!
The Whisky itself was great, i enjoyed all 3 samples and it's enough to make your Friday night a really good one without any of the hassle in the morning.
The option to buy the full sized bottles at a discount rate is great and I'll be placing an order today for the Balvenie Triple Cask.
This is a great gift for any whisky drinker even if they're not a serious collector.
Fantastic gift idea, something different. Also love the packaging, notes and prompt delivery each month of interesting whiskeys. Also like the option to take a break and opt out when you need.
Brilliant service, excellent quality whiskys. Cant recommend this service more highly to anyone looking to get a unique and diverse experience of top shelf whiskys.
Amazing first loot box!
Top shelf whiskys.
Really impressed with the quality of the glass bottles and the packaging too.
Can’t wait to get my next loot box!
Great whisky, flexible options and my husband loves receiving the box and takes his time sitting down doing tastings and writing in the book very seriously. This has unexpectedly become a time where we end up really talking about things, which I really appreciate and would order just for that! Thank you
An excellent way to taste different whiskies, without the costs associated with a commercial establishment. Excellent value for money, including postage, and great packaging. My wife also uses the bottles as flower vases for small posies.
Loved getting my whisky once a month! and have and will continue to refer it to my friends and family!

So when you pay through the roof for 20-year-old whisky, understand that you’re also paying for all the ounces that didn’t make it into the bottle and were instead “claimed by the angels.”
Many dark, smoky flavours lay well outside the realms where the more popular whiskies congregate. It can be easy to stagnate with your whisky tasting adventures if you only stick to what’s the most popular. By adding a little variety into your whisky library, you’ll not only come to appreciate those “sweet spot” flavours more, but you just might find a few outliers that cater to your unique palette.
1894 is the third expression in the Masters Keep Limited series of rare Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskeys from Wild Turkey. It is a truly special bottle of Wild Turkey, a unique and delicious bourbon, which is why we have made it our 'Hero' whisky for the month of June.

You’ve probably heard the adage that a small splash of water can help a whisky’s...
Whiskey is a broad category of drink, and that’s great because it means the whiskey drinker can go their whole life without ever getting bored of their favourite hobby. But all the possibilities can be a bit overwhelming, too.
Most whisky drinkers look to the age of a given whisky as an indicator of its quality. Because of that tendency, so many whisky buffs balk when they see a no-age-statement (NAS) variety of whisky at their local liquor store. Conventional wisdom suggests that, just like fine wine, the more time whisky has to age, the better it tastes. Thus, these seasoned aficionados dismiss NAS whiskies as inferior.

It takes more than a few libraries of ladders and a wide selection...
For many of us, alcohol play an important part in our shared experiences with those who are closest to us. Wine tastings, craft brewery tours, and distillery tastings are popular social events that create lasting memories for all involved (as long as moderation is practised, of course!)
It can seem overwhelming to try and plan to see everything on a vacation but don’t worry, because we’ve separated all the greatest Tasmanian distilleries into a convenient, 5-day itinerary, so you can get your fill of each Aussie whisky within a week-long vacation.
From the first glance of the Palmer & Co, you can’t help but notice the recreation of the 1920s Prohibition-era atmosphere the bar gives. The look of the surroundings will provide you with this cosy and safe feeling, like “you’re free to be yourself and do whatsoever you want to do, even if it’s out of bounds.”
Located in Sydney’s business district, the Stitch Bar is more than just another whisky-centric establishment. Beyond the vintage décor of sewing machines at the entrance, and the dimly lit, cozy underground atmosphere, Stitch Bar knows how to win the affections of Ardbeg lovers. Specifically, because they only stock Ardbeg 10-year-old malt.
Peat is to whiskey as chili pepper is to spicy food. Similar to how people boast about their tolerance to chili, whiskey lovers love “out-peating” each other. Peated whiskeys are known for being pungent, boisterous, and antagonistic drinks. Although peated scotch hasn’t always popular, today it has become more fashionable and as a result has ignited a sudden passion among whiskey drinkers.
Similar to wine, whisky is meant to be enjoyed in sips, not in a shot glass. The savoury nature of this delicious brown drink has made it a popular pairing with dinner. However, like a good glass of Cabernet, there are some food pairing that works well, and others that should be completely avoided. Read on to discover the foods that pair perfectly with whisky.
Few things gain value with age, such as wine and cheese, just to name a few. When you think about luxury alcohol what comes to mind are the images of a golden liquid: whisky. The demand for aged whisky isn’t something new; in fact, whiskey was the preferred currency in the 18th century among Pennsylvania residents.
If you aren’t careful, your whisky budget can quickly get out of control. The good news is, it’s entirely possible to find an excellent whisky that doesn’t need to break the bank. In the end, it was hard for us to choose, but here are our picks for ten excellent Scotch whiskies for under $100 a bottle.
The powers-that-be are sitting up and taking note of Australian whiskies. In 2014, Sullivans Cove Distillery won the World Whiskies Award for the best single malt whisky and they aren’t the only ones collecting accolades. As of 2017, there are more than 120 distilleries in Australia. Isn’t it time you tried some of Australia’s finest whiskies?

There’s nothing wrong with picking up a bottle of Laphroaig at Dan Murphy's, but if that’s all you ever taste, you are missing out! There are so many interesting whiskies out there, it’s time you branched out and tried a few.
The whisky vs. whiskey debate has raged for nearly as long as the spirit has been in its modern form. So who’s right? How should we be spelling our favourite drink, anyway?
