Aged in small barrels and produced in small batches, each edition is subtly different from the last. They all have two things in common though: they’re all delicious, and they’ve all been sell-out hits! This is the third in the series.
One of the handsomest distilleries in Tasmania, Old Kempton is located in a mansion named Dysart House – a former coaching inn on the road to Kempton. A tiny village of less than 400 people, Kempton was formerly a popular overnight stop on the ride from Launceton to Hobart.
The stills used to produce their whisky are located inside the old stables of the inn, which once held over 22 horses. It is this distinctive local history that is honoured by this bottling.
